My passion for the sea was given to me by my father, who sailed on large cargo and passenger ships all over the world. As a result, I was lucky enough to sail a few times and get to know the experience of the high seas. In 2008, I started my sailing training at the DHH in Braunschweig and passed my first sailing certificate. But as the saying goes: the licence is only a licence to learn. So I first sailed a few cruises as a berth guest before chartering myself. Initially on the Baltic Sea and the Ijsselmeer. Since a berth in southern Italy on the Amalfi Coast and the Pontine Islands, the Mediterranean has cast its spell over me. Due to the many advantages of the beautiful Croatian island world, I have been sailing here regularly for several years now. Prefer catamaran.

Why catamarans?

I started out on monohulls. I learned the basics of sailing on a dinghy, and completed my ocean licence on keelboats. In 2010, I had the opportunity to sail on a catamaran for the first time (Lagoon 470). Impressed by the space, freedom of movement and manoeuvring characteristics, I now try to offer trips on a "biped" as often as possible. I find harbour manoeuvres in particular much more relaxed with a catamaran. The catamaran shows its real strengths in lonely bays... quiet anchoring, as a bathing platform, many berths and ample living comfort.
